Country Society vs City Society
Do you think there is a difference of how people are treated if they live in a big city or in the country? Living in Miami everyone expects so much of you and you have to compete with everyone. Living in the Smokies no one cares if you are rich, middle class or poor. Everyone is treated like they want to be treated regardless of their social status. I love the people of the Smokies. They are very down to earth. All you have to say is thank you.

I agree that people in the rural areas are much more authentic. What you see is what you get. I have come to love my time in the Virginia mountains so much more than with the fake ones down below. Time slows down up there...... folks (and I used the word "folks" on purpose) smile and wave at one another. Up there, when a person asks how you are doing..... they really want to know how you are doing! It's like stepping backwards in time to a place where people really care.
